As the offseason goes on, I'll have my thoughts on expansion/re-alignment, as well as looking ahead to next year. But now, I'd like to congratulate my computer, which soundly beat me at predicting the outcomes of the bowls.
Man: 18-17. Chance that a flip of the coin would have done better: 36.8%
Machine: 23-12. Chance that a flip of the coin would have done better: 2.05%
(using a binomial distribution to calculate chance that 35 flips of a coin would have given a better win percentage)
I think the above calculation pretty much sums it up. I'll take it as a compliment that my computer knows what it's doing!!
Machine, you win... this round.
