Team Rankings: For the first time since 2001, a team other than Southern California won the PAC-10 title. The rest of the conference, however, was mired in mediocrity: The #2 team (USC) was 5-4 in the conference and lost to #8 (Washington), who was 4-5. The crazy world of the West Coast. Perhaps all the teams were great, you say? The PAC-10's record in bowl games was 2-5. Apparently not.

Awards!
Best Showing in an Out-of-Conference Game:
USC 18, Ohio State 15. The way the season turned out, with Ohio State winning the Rose Bowl, and USC the Emerald Bowl, makes this result all the more impressive.
Worst Showing in an Out-of-Conference Game:
Wake Forest 24, Stanford 17. Stanford was the better team in 2009, no question. The question is how they let this one get away (after being up at halftime 17-3).
Best Conference Game:
Oregon 37, Oregon State 33. What a game. The back-and-forth 'Civil War' rivalry game gave the right for the winner to advance to the Rose Bowl. It just doesn't get any better than that.
Best Showing in a Bowl Game:
N/A. USC beat BC 24-13. UCLA beat Temple 30-21. No wins worthy of an honor there.
Worst Showing in a Bowl Game:
Nebraska 33, Arizona 0. Arizona had 37 TOTAL YARDS with 6:50 remaining in the game. I believe nothing more needs to be said.
