2010 Record: 36-14 (72%)
Week 5 Stream of Consciousness: Jerrod Johnson's killer stats were the reason the Aggies were close to pulling it out; his 5 turnovers were the reason they didn't... Denard Robinson is still a god, but Michigan's defense looks worse every week... Texas is in danger of having its first 3-loss streak under Mack Brown... Oklahoma could be simultaneously the best (vs FSU) and worst (vs Cinci and USU) team in the top 10... Michigan State's Rush Defense made a huge statement against Wisconsin. Next up, Mr. Robinson and the Wolverines... Is Jacory Harris a good, or terrible QB? Few remain who know... Iowa's defense bounced back... Penn State's offense is troubling... Bet Meyer wishes he did retire afterall: without Tebow, the Gators' offense is nothing... Locker had a nice bounce-back- against the worst pass defense in the PAC-10... Va Tech's season isn't over... yet...
Week 5 WTF?!?
WTF, Texas Punt Returner Aaron Williams? 62 seconds left, you have the chance for a game-tying drive. All you have to do is catch the punt. You call a fair catch, so no worrying about getting hit, or where you're going to run. Just catch the ball, and you give your team a chance to mount an improbable comeback. Just catch the ball... Aaand... you drop it. Wow.
WTF, LSU Coach Les Miles? Pat Forde writes better than I, so I'll leave it to him... http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/columns/story?columnist=forde_pat&id=5650439
GOTW Prediction. Oregon 52, Stanford 31
GOTW Prediction Record: 4-1 (80%)
Why I was right:
- Oregon's offense turned it on in the second half, burying Stanford under 388 rushing yards.
- The Duck D stepped it up as well, pressuring Andrew Luck into poor throws.
- Stanford scored 0 points in the second half.
- Is Oregon capable of running the tablet certainly appears so after 5 weeks.
